Jerry Risner
Executive Chef,
Gervasi Vineyard

Chef Risner joined Gervasi Vineyard in November of 2009 and presently oversees all food productions on the 55-acre estate. Currently he manages five kitchens on property plus a sixth with the recent opening of The Twisted Olive in Green. Risner loves cooking and the excitement and camaraderie of the kitchen. His passion for cooking began when he was young, watching his grandmother as she prepared memorable homemade meals for family and friends.




Andrew Codispoti
Head Winemaker,
Gervasi Vineyard

An Italian immigrant, Gervasi Head Winemaker Andy Codispoti traces his passion for wine to his youth in a mountainside village in Calabria. The family owned several small vineyards in the region.  Over time, the winemaking traditions of his mother and father exposed Andy to the art of old world winemaking and set the tone for his philosophy and appreciation of wine. Andy joined the inaugural Gervasi team in early 2009 to unite old world art and new world technology in the development of Gervasi’s wine processes, systems and wine portfolio. Today, Andy oversees all phases of wine development and production at Gervasi. 



Akron Zoo Exotic Animals
The Akron Zoo education staff will provide an up-close opportunity to view some of the world’s most amazing animals.  A snake, a porcupine and a kinkajou are

scheduled to appear. Different

animals might be substituted if necessary. Discover the wonder

of the animals that share our world.








Doctor Lori from
Auction Kings

Dr. Lori, star antiques appraiser from the hit TV show Auction Kings on the Discovery channel, will appear on Sunday, March 1st. She will tell you what people are really paying for antiques and collectibles. She will pull no punches as she evaluates your stuff and makes you laugh. “I’ll break some hearts, I’ll make some millionaires. We’ll laugh and learn along the way”, she says. Come on Sunday for one of her two presentations. A limited number of items can be apprised, so arrive early for your chance.




Dante Boccuzzi
Executive Chef, dba

Dante’s cooking career has taken him around the world like a rock band on tour. His style and technique have been inspired by the world renowned chefs and owners he has had the pleasure of working with. 


A culinary rock star in his own right, Dante has worked for some of the biggest names in the industry. He opened Giorgio Armani’s Nobu in Milan and worked with Gualtiero Marchesi, arguably one of the greatest Italian Chefs of all time, at Erbusco, Italy. He served as Executive Chef for the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in San Francisco and as the private chef for Robert De Niro. He worked as Executive Chef for Charlie Palmer at his New York flagship, Aureole. He has already earned his own Michelin Star.


With three other successful brands to his name, Dante’s newest tour stop is Akron, Ohio where he brings the culmination of style and expression together at dba.




Catherine St. John

Catherine St. John, owner of The Western Reserve School of Cooking, will demonstrate cooking secrets. In her 30 years of experience, she has worked as a Chef, Caterer, Culinary Teacher and Consultant. She has written cookbooks and has appeared multiple times on local news station Fox 8 demonstrating various cooking techniques.
